We would like to invite you to join us at the gourd retreat we sponsor near Savannah, Georgia.  It will be held on January 18-20 at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center.  We have invited teachers from all over the country to come and have classes for you.  They represent a large number of new and exciting techniques in the world of gourd art.  The retreat center is a beautiful place in an isolated area where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the country.  Check out the retreat center at www.newebenezer.org .

We will offer classes in each time slot beginning on Friday morning and going through lunch on Sunday.  You will need to register early to get your first choice of classes.  Each class will be from 3-4 hours and the prices will be listed on the class descriptions.

Please read this page and the registration page completely before filling out the forms.

For those staying at the retreat center, the price for the weekend will be $150.  This includes lodging, meals, and registration fees.  In addition to that, you will pay for each class you choose to take.

For those staying off campus, you will pay a $25 registration fee and then the price for each class you choose to take.  If you choose to have any meals with us while at the retreat center, you need to sign up for them with your registration.  Prices will be listed on the registration form.

We have reserved 4 cabins this year.  That is space for 48 people, so make your reservations early.  Others will be given information for local motels.

The cabins have six private rooms.  Each room has twin beds and a bath.  The center of the cabin is a community room with a sofa and chairs and a kitchen with microwave and refrigerator.  Because of the atmosphere of the retreat center, you will have to park your car in the front parking area and walk into the center.  Carts are available to help with your luggage and a golf cart will be available if you have trouble walking.

Spouses are welcome, but remember, the cost is based on a per person plan.  Spouses not taking classes will not have to pay the $25 registration fee, so there price will be $125.

There are many things for the spouses to see if they are not gourders.  If staying on location, they have access to fishing, nature trails and an old historic church and other buildings.  The retreat center does not have television or telephones in the cabins.  There is a phone available for emergencies.

We will have a raw gourd vendor there along with Primitive Originals and Turtle Feathers.

If you choose to fly into the Savannah-Hilton Head Airport, we will arrange to pick you up and return you to the airport on Sunday for a fee of $10 round trip.  Just let us know your flight numbers and arrival times.  You may want to plan a few extra days to visit the historic city of Savannah.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE GOURD RETREAT!!
